Seminars ETAG

In 1995, the Department was the first to respond to the events taking place in the country founding an International Association of English Language Teachers (ETAG) in Kutaisi and the Imereti Region and electing its Presidium. The Association assists English teachers of schools, lycees, colleges and universities of Western Georgia to upgrade and develop professionally. Twice a month the department arranges trainings in the ETAG office.

The ESD with the assistance of the British Council and Open Society Georgia Foundation organized international trainings for English school teachers (1995, 1996, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005) and for professors and teachers of English Studies Departments of Kutaisi and universities in Western Georgia (1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003).
