Jubilee Reception Hosted by British Ambassador
Cვენ ყველანი სპექტაკლის ,,ჩემი მშვენიერი ლედი“ შთაბეჭდილების ქვეშ ვართ.
მიზეზი,
რამაც გაგვაერთიანა და ამ უნიკალურ მეგობრობას საფუძველი ჩაუყარა გახლავთ ორი მშვენიერი ლედი - ქალბადონი მადონა და დამა როზმარი ბატლერი - განაცხადა დიდი ბრიტანეთის ელჩმა საქართველოში ალექსანდრა ჰოლ ჰოლმა ბრიტანეთის საელჩოს მიერ გამართულ მიღებაზე.

e all are under the impression of the performance “My Fair Lady” and these two fair ladies Dame Rosemary Butler and Madonna Megrelishvili are the ones who united us and started this unique friendship,” - said the UK Ambassador to Georgia Alexandra Hall Hall at the reception held by the British Embassy.

უთაისისა და ნიუპორტის მეგობრობის კვირეულის წარმატებულ განვითარებას კიდევ უფრო მეტი მნიშვნელობა და ელფერი შესძინა ბრიტანეთის საელჩოს ჩართულობამ და მხარდაჭერამ.

The involvement and support of the UK Embassy made the friendship week more significant and colourful.
The attitude which the Ambassador Alexandra Hall Hall has towards the friendship between Kutaisi and Newport is really special.
The Jubilee week was no exception.
After the premiere of the play “ My Fair Lady” at Meskhishvili Professional State Drama Theatre directed by Giorgi Sikharulidze and dedicated to the celebration,
the Ambassador invited the officials,
members of the two associations and the theatre cast to the reception on the terrace of the hotel “ Bagrati 1003”.

ეკრებილ საზოგადოებას სიტყვით მიმართა მასპინძელმა,
დიდი ბრიტანეტის ელჩმა საქართველოში ალექსანდრა ჰოლ ჰოლმა,
რომელმაც გაიხსენა პირველი შეხვედრა ქუთაისი ნიუპორტის საერთაშორისო ასოციაციასთან,
რამაც ბიძგი მისცა ქუთასისა და ნიუპორტის მეგობრობით მის შემდგომ დაინტერესებას.
ელჩმა განსაკუთრებით გამოჰყო ამ ურთიერთობის მესვეური ორი ღირსეული ქალბატონის დამა როზმარი ბატლერისა და ქალბატონ მადონა მეგრელიშვილის ღვაწლი,
კიდევ ერთხელ მიულოცა ასოციაციების წევრებს იუბილე და აღფრთოვანება გამოხატა კვირეულის ორგანიზების,
თარჯიმნების მუშაობისა და განსაკუთრებით,
სპექტაკლის მიმართ.
მან შეაქო მსახიობების ოსტატობა და აღნიშნა,
რომ მიღებული შთაბეჭდილება დიდხანს გაჰყვება მთელს აუდიტორიას.
The hostess - her Majesty’s Ambassador to Georgia Alexandra Hall Hall in her eloquent speech remembered her first meeting with the Kutaisi Newport International Association which inspired her to get interested in its activities.
The Ambassador emphasized the roles of two influential ladies,
Ms. Madonna Megrelishvili and Dame Rosemary Butler.
She congratulated the members of the association on the jubilee once again and expressed her admiration for the organization of the celebration week,
translators’ work and particularly for the heroes of the day – actors and actresses and said that the impression they had made would remain with the whole audience for a long time.
dამსწრე საზოგადოებას მიესალმა ნიუპორტი ქუთაისის დამეგობრებულ ქალაქთა ასოციაციის პირველი თავმჯდომარე და ჩვენი მეგობრობის დიდი გულშემატკივარი დამა როზმარი ბატლერი, რომელიც ქალბატონ მადონა მეგრელიშვილთან ერთად გახლავთ ის საყრდენი, ვინც მეგობრობის პირველი მარცვალი ისე გააღვივა, რომ დღეს ორივე ქალაქში მეგობარი ქალაქის სახელობის ქუჩებზე დააბიჯებს მოსახლეობა, რომელთა შორის ძალიან ბევრია ჩართული ასოციაციების საქმიანობაში.
The first chair of the Newport Kutaisi Twinning Association and the greatest supporter of the twinning itself,
Dame Rosemary Butler greeted the audience on behalf of the Newport delegation.
Together with Madonna Megrelishvili she is the pillar who grew up the seed of friendship to such an extent that today the citizens of both cities,
Kutaisi and Newport walk on the streets named after their city and many of them are involved in the activities of the associations.

ალბატონმა მადონამ უდიდესი მადლიერებით აღნიშნა იმ მხარდაჭერის შესახებ,
რასაც დიდი ბრიტანეთის ელჩისგან გრძნობს ქუთაისი ნიუპორტის საერთაშორისო ასოციაცია და განაცხადა,
რომ სწორედ,
ალექსანდრა ჰოლ ჰოლის დამსახურებაა ის ფაქტი,
რომ მან შეძლო უელსის პარლამენტის თავმჯდომარის დამა როზმარი ბატლერის აქტიური მონაწილეობით ორ ქალაქს შორის მეგობრობა სრულიად ახალ ეტაპზე გადავიდა და იგი ორი ქვეყნის საქართველოსა და უელსის მეგობრობაში გადაიზარდა.
ქალბატონმა მადონამ ასოციაციის სახელით ასევე მადლობა გადაუხადა ქალაქ ქუთაისის მერს ბატონ შოთა მურღულიას,
რომლის ხელშეწყობით მეგობრობის კვირეულმა ასეთი ფართო მასშტაბები მიიღო.
The chair of the Kutaisi Newport International Association,
Madonna Megrelishvili expressed her gratitude and appreciation towards the support the association receives from the Ambassador Alexandra Hall Hall.
She stated that it is due to her and the active participation of Dame Rosemary Butler,
Presiding Officer of the National Assambly for Wales that the friendship between the two cities moved onto a higher level and has turned into friendship between the two countries - Georgia and Wales.
On behalf of the Kutaisi Newport International Association Madonna Megrelishvili also thanked the Mayor of Kutaisi,
Mr. Shota Murgulia whose great support has turned the friendship week into a large-scale celebration.

ჩვენი ქალაქის ხედი ტერასიდან და ერთმანეთთან გასაუბრების,
შთაბეჭდილების გაზიარების შესაძლებლობა ნიუპორტის დელეგაციის იმ წევრებს,
რომლებიც პირველად სტუმრობდნენ ქუთაისს კიდევ უფრო მეტ ინფორმაციას აწვდიდა ჩვენი მეგობრობის ისტორიასა და მომავალზე.
The atmosphere at the reception was warm and welcoming.
The view of the city from the terrace greatly conductive to a friendly talk and sharing impressions enabled the members of the delegation who were visiting Kutaisi for the first time to get more information about the history and the future of the twinning.

“You are the people who do the things we talk about,
who make the words real” - said the Ambassador to the members of the associations.
We would like to say that apart from the professionalism,
it is a human factor that makes the Ambassador so special and that is the main principle of our friendship.
